Adopting a dog is a powerful and generous act, but one that needs to be carefully thought through.
Beyond the classic needs of any dog, adoption often requires patience and time. Our dogs may have a more or less difficult or traumatic past, and some will need to be taught the basics again, while others will require a constant presence.
But they will all need time to adapt, to discover a new home, a new environment and to trust humans again.
It can sometimes take a long time, but there's so much happiness to be had, both for the dog and its family!
Adopting a dog is therefore a responsible and committed act.
That's why we're very vigilant when it comes to choosing families. It's vital to find the right family to meet the dog's needs.
Our adoption procedure
For each adoption, a telephone interview and a home visit are compulsory.
The purpose of the telephone interview is to discuss your requirements/preferences and to find out about your living environment (with or without children, with
or without a garden, presence of other animals, experience with a dog, how long the dog will be left alone, etc.). This will enable us to suggest a dog that's suit you.
correspondra.
In a second time, a volunteer from the association will then come and visit you to see the environment in which the dog will be living and discuss your motivations once again.
The association Terriers Sans Frontières reserves the right to refuse an adoption without having to justify the reasons.
Important: the website is regularly updated. However, it is not impossible that the animal you are contacting us about has already been placed or is in the process of being placed.
We thank you for your understanding.
